Crayons in my coffee

Not much to tell August 24, 2006

This is another boring, baby-centered post. What ever happened to all the drama in my life? :-) Even all my friends are pretty drama-free. Is this a sign of impending adulthood?

I know that I shouldn’t wish these last few weeks away, but I am so impatient to meet this little person! Things are good again medically–BP is normal with meds, and she did flip out of the breech position at 35 1/2 weeks. I fear this just means she is already showing she inherited my lovely sense of direction (as those of you who have driven with me well know). So, for now, it is just a case of hurry up and wait.

Our friend Scott came to our house and took some lovely pictures, which I hope to post in b/w soon. I told someone else I never thought I would want actual documentation of the heaviest I’ve ever been (sigh), but I know I’ll treasure those pictures later.

School is also back in session without me, which is a little strange for me. Not that I wish to be in a million IEP meetings or anything, but I guess I’m a bit territorial about my schools and placements. I’m glad they’re in good, capable hands, though.

On another note: Andrew had his first of two formal interviews with Harvest View Church, which is very exciting for us. Of course, his real interview is that fact that he’s been leading worship for these past five weeks, but I guess there’s always that dang, nerve-wracking interview process. I think it went very well, so we’ll see how it works out. This job also has the potential to cost me a lot of money, because Andrew now/again has full-on expensive-guitar lust. :-) I hear it’s terminal.
