Grace Staff Cookout August 16, 2009

I love a good cookout! The Hansen’s know how to throw our kind of party–complete with a giant dalmation bounce house. They have an awesome backyard with all the kid-related goodies. I also hear rumor of a zipline being built there…

Baby Girl was IN HEAVEN and told me she wants to live at their house. I can’t say I blame her! It was great to just relax and chat. I also got to hear TWO amazing adoption stories from one sweet mama and visit with lots of new friends. Thanks to Missy for grabbing my camera and snapping some pics.

Quick Tray Makeover August 5, 2009

I saw this guy at the local consignment shop, and thought I could give it some style. I’m itching to do some crafting, but I left all my supplies in a box in the TN house, and I’m too cheap to buy new ones for now.

Add: Spray paint, scrapbook paper, glue, and a clear coat…

I really like how it looks, but the clear coat wasn’t exactly what I wanted. I used the Triple Thick clear spray, but I really want the paper section to have a hard, waterproof-type coat.  I would like to be able to put drinks, etc. on it, and I don’t think the clear coat I have is thick enough for that. Would ModPodge do this? I’m afraid of ModPodge for some reason. It seems like I would definitely glue my fingers to my forehead or something…’cause I’m talented like that. Strong glue has not been my friend in the past.
